After 20 years as a counselor in the Blue Valley district area, I am increasingly passionate about helping people discover the true value their lives hold, for themselves as well as those who love them. I recognize and encourage the need for developing strong communication skills between adolescents and parents or guardians. Together we focus on overcoming obstacles such as anger and self esteem through active communication skill development and tools. My core philosophy is to work with parents in conjunction with the adolescents, establishing a strong foundation for communication based on mutual respect. My Leawood, Kansas practice is not limited to youth, I actively work with couples, individuals, youth (ages 8 and older) and adolescents (teens). Frequently managed issues include anger control, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, divorce, organization and study skills (including test taking strategies).
Most insurance plans are billable through my office. Co-pays are due at the time of service. I believe every person in need is entitled to have equal access to psychological care and treatment. Therefore I make it a policy to work with my patients in terms of payment arrangements that is comfortable.Your level of treatment is never determined by your ability to pay.
